Projects

Moskosel Creative Lab

Moskosel Creative Lab is our home, rooted deeply in sustainability and community spirit. We took over the village's closed-down school building and transformed it into a global benchmark, showcasing how art and creative projects can act as catalysts for cultural, economic, and social development. This innovative approach not only provides work and living spaces but also fosters meaningful connections and growth. Here, in northern rural Sweden—particularly in the small village of Moskosel—creative and cultural projects flourish, but more importantly, people thrive. The lab hosts live performances, supports artist residencies, and serves as a space for experimental initiatives like the "Museum of the Self" bar, embodying our mission to create lasting, positive impacts.

RE-ARCHTIVE NORTH

The RE-ARCHTIVE NORTH project (inspired by our previous activities) focuses on creating innovative strategies for repurposing and reactivating the architectural heritage in Northern Sweden and Finland - bring back to life unused beautiful houses in northern region.

Its objectives include developing sustainable tools and methods for the adaptive reuse of historic and underutilised buildings. By creating a solid base to see them as assets, not liabilities-transforming into BnBs, artist residencies, co-working spaces, and cultural venues, the project aims to revitalise the social and cultural fabric of small communities. Partners include Luleå University of Technology Ark and LTU DCC, Moskosel Creative Park, Centria, and Lapland University of Applied Sciences, under the EU Interreg Aurora initiative

CABIN 14 - Public Sauna

Cabin 14, our newly project - A Public Sauna, is more than just another project—it’s designed to bring people together and celebrate shared culture and heritage. By creating a public sauna, we aim to revive the long-standing Swedish tradition of communal saunas, fostering a sense of community and connection with nature. Located high among the trees, Cabin 14 offers a unique experience that honors sustainable development, blending beautifully with its natural surroundings and inviting everyone to enjoy a peaceful, eco-friendly space.

Moskosel Creative Park and Northern Sustainable Futures proudly sponsor "Möt samtida dans i en park nära dig," a unique outdoor dance experience happening on June 12, 2025, at 18:00 in Nyborgstjärn, Arvidsjaur (near the playground). This collaboration with Norrdans brings contemporary dance to the heart of the community, inviting everyone to enjoy world-class choreography amidst nature’s embrace.

The event features four acclaimed Nordic choreographers — Norwegian Ingrid Berger Myhre, Swedish Philip Berlin, Danish Sigrid Stigsdatter, and Finnish Janina Rajakangas — who each bring a distinct style and voice to the performance. Audiences will be guided through different corners of the park, discovering these captivating works among blooming flowers and fresh summer air. The scenography and costumes, designed by Moa Möller, further enhance the experience, making this a truly memorable evening for all.
